Connection

What are you connected to? Where do you place our attention throughout the day?  Do you dwell in the past feeling regret, in the future planning and visioning, or in the present moment, here and now mindful of the task at hand? Where we place our attention is what we value and what we love.

If we desire personal growth, connection can involve going deeper and exploring our mental patterns and unintegrated emotional content. Regarding the spiritual journey, connection involves dis-identifying with the ego (our identity), its fears and desires, and instead forging a connection with our essential nature, connected to all that is, both seen and unseen.

Tips for staying connected? Begin the next day before the sun rises with a morning practice including: meditation, self-reflection, journaling, prayer, yoga and spiritual study. Connect with your body and breath each time you go to the bathroom and while you eat. Spend time in nature. Connect with people you love in person! Hit the sack before 10pm for the best rest. While lying in bed before sleep, visualize how you’d like the next day to unfold. Throughout the day, reduce phone/computer time; inner connection is much more beneficial and powerful than external connection via technology.

The vision of True Nature is providing space to connect with something deeper. That something deeper is you. Not the human but the being that enlivens it. This being, this awareness, this love, is our essential nature and is connected to all things. That’s where the magic is—in your connection to you!
