The Seeds of Change

We are on the cusp of springtime in the Rockies. It feels good to welcome the light and warmth of longer days. While I love the contemplative quiet of winter, I start to itch for spring right about now. Energetically, spring is a time to cleanse, plant seeds of change and welcome new beginnings.

For the seeds of change to grow we need healthy soil (preparation), good seed (intention) and daily nourishment from the elements (our actions in the world). To support the process shared below, employ: prayer, meditation, visualization, journaling and ceremony.

Before planting, we must prepare the ground by considering what no longer serves. Old roots must be removed to make way for new plantings. This release can be related to health, work, hobbies and relationships.

Next, we can envision the life we desire to step into. See yourself living the life you were born to live, while allowing feelings of well-being, inspiration and joy to arise.

Finally, in order for these new seeds to take root and grow into healthy plants, we must take daily actions that align with our vision. The field of creation is not going to magically change our lives, we need to meet spirit halfway.

This process can be difficult as we have embodied certain patterns for years, decades if not lifetimes. We have trained the body-mind so well that it now operates subconsciously. Therefore, the intellect and will-center need to be actively engaged.

There is no higher calling than transforming the karmic chains of our past and stepping into a future that embodies our highest intention. Change is possible but it requires self-reflection, a clear intention, positive energy and daily actions that align with our vision.

Happy Spring Equinox rising and may you step into the life you were born to live.
