The World Needs You Now

Sometimes I feel discouraged when reflecting upon the state of the world. There appears to be great imbalance and disharmony, yet simultaneously, per the Vedic scriptures, all is unfolding as it needs to—the result of our individual and collective karma. 

The Vedas also speak about the waking dream—the idea that both individual and collective reality are subjective. The question then becomes, “How do we wake up from the dream of our personal and collective history and the dream narrated by our system of government, education and media?”

When I focus on the news, my well-being is impacted. This begs the question, “What do I want and who do I want to be and does the programmed external environment support or negate what I truly want for myself and those I love?”

As we step into this next year, there will be many challenges—this is certain. Though nothing is happening to us but rather for us. Life provides the perfect set of experiences. Will the choices we make be unconscious and pre-programmed or consciousness, mindful ones based on self-reflection and the desire for growth. 

Step in now and share your light, your passion, serve others and make conscious choices. Don’t wait—the world needs your support and love.
