Living The Optimal Lifestyle Through Ayurveda
By Deva Shantay
Are you living an optimal lifestyle? Do you wake feeling rested, eliminate your bowels regularly (at the same time each day), have a healthy appetite, clear skin, bright eyes and feel satisfied after eating?
So many of us grow up without ever being taught what true health looks and feels like. I for one suffered from chronic constipation—and was told it was normal. It wasn’t until earlier this year (at the age of 42) that I learned what it was like to eliminate my bowels naturally. I taught my body how to let go of waste, without struggle—and to do it right as I wake each morning like clockwork.
I learned to fix something that felt unfixable. I discovered this wisdom through Ayurveda.
Ayurveda (the ancient science of life and longevity) teaches us to live in a healthy, balanced way. Balance is the key word as we are here to maintain our personal and balanced constitution (dosha). We are each born with a unique mixture of the five elements (earth, water, fire, air and space). That is why we can be out at dinner and eat the same meal as a friend, yet afterwards have gas, bloating, lethargy, constipation or diarrhea while they feel fine. We each have a unique constitution (dosha) and because of that, we each require different ways of maintaining balance.
What is right for one person, isn’t right for all as it relates to diet, exercise, personal practices, lifestyle and more.
Ayurveda is a journey of learning about ourselves so as to bring understanding and awaken our inner wisdom. I consider it a “common sense” science. We learn how to listen to our body and respond to what it needs. Most of us have been conditioned to listen externally, to our parents, teachers and doctors but aren’t taught to listen to our intuition and inner-wisdom. My passion with Ayurveda is to help people attain radiant health and come into alignment with their life purpose and live it with confidence and integrity.
If you want to discover your constitution (dosha) and apply the wisdom of Ayurveda, I will be offering a limited amount of Ayurvedic Lifestyle Coaching packages beginning January 2022, please contact True Nature for more information.
We all have a right to feel empowered in our health—sometimes we are just waiting for permission to listen and trust what we already know is true. We each are unique and divinely created for a purpose. Our mission is to live that purpose and support the whole of humanity.
In gratitude,
